Yeah, it was with that pack that I walked away. I have bought every pack from Sims 1 thru to Sims 3 (2 sets in fact – one for me and one for my kids) up to Sims 4 to the Island pack (can’t remember the name) with the mermaids (another story with another tangent – but I digress). The excuse that EA used for “Loading Screens” in the Sims 4 is a slap in the face – when considering how other Devs for other games are doing that very thing – with HUGE MAPS mind you – and their updates and added content - IS FREE! There is only one thing that EA is good at holding their hand out for more money, – because they know too well that there are people out there who (without thinking) will continue to throw their money at them with the hope that maybe this time – “this will help to make the game be more of what I want”. ![]() When an update is put out there (like with Progression? what ever it is called) it is automatically added whether you wanted it or not. HUGE OPEN MAPS – with Developers that offer regular updates – FOR FREE! And with options! to keep the present alpha or move on to the next level. I look at games like Minecraft, – and 7 Days To Die – only to realize that these are games that have HUGE worlds. I know this is a Sims 2 blog and that my complaints are for The Sims 4, – I just think it best to make known my thoughts on this subject where I consider this to be the best blog (of all) and to have you consider what I want to share with the community. And yet, the most obvious (at least to me) is never mentioned. As there have been endless complaints towards the Sims 4 Devs – I find myself in total agreement with all of the complaints. I am going to go off on a tangent here (towards EA), – with the hope that you might share a few things (with the wonderful Sim community) that have YET to be mentioned in any of the many comments that I have been reading for years. Not that I am anti-social – in fact- I am a very social individual coming from a large family, having married into one, and have a love for friendly people. I’ve been a fan for about a year now, and finally, I’ve decided to join your blog (couldn’t resist) which is a big step for me because I don’t like taking part in social media of any kind. Thank you! If there’s not an active link, that means it’s not done yet but I’m working on it. Took ages, but it was worth it - now I can easily see if hair is missing the Pooklet colours I use and add them, and if I decide I don't like a hair, I can delete the whole folder with all the recolours and the mesh. Here’s an index of all the Sims 2 downloads on my blog. So I made about 300 folders each with a mesh and the recolours. I used to have a folder with meshes and another with recolours, but it was too disorganised and I could never be sure if the new hair I was downloading was just another recolour of one I already had. One more thing I've recently started doing is separating all my hair. And finally, I used the Download Organiser one more time to do an orphan scan. For one ot two things, I'd delete it in Bodyshop itself, but last time I did this, I had hundreds to delete. Then I can close Bodyshop and delete it all. THEN I open Bodyshop, hover over stuff I don't want and mark it on my text file. Then I use command prompt to make a list of all my recolour files using the command dir /b >list.txt. I use Delphy's Download Organiser to make sure all my recolours are in one place. ![]() For objects, I create an empty lot, put all the objects I want to delete on there, package it up, install it to a new folder and then run a duplicate file scanner on the new folder and my Downloads folder.įor Bodyshop stuff, if there's a lot of it, I use Cat's Tooltip Adder to make sure all my recolours have tooltips.
